The winners of Miss Teen
Australia not only have
become houshold names, but have
also proven to be the very
Role Models that
teenagers and adults across the
country have come to admire and
identified with, due to its
wholesome family environment
that this event is synonymous
with.
The National Finals of Miss
Teen Australia were held in
Darwin, Northern Territory for
the first time in September
2004, wherein Lauryn Eagle from
Sydney NSW, was crowned Miss
Teen Australia. Lauryn
represented ustralia in the
South American International
Beauty Pageant, held in Costa
Rica in November against 22
other country
representitivesand won.
Not only was it Australia's
first teenage entrant into the
international arena, but to
date the only entrant to clean
sweep all the major awards at
this event, winning the
prestige title of Miss Teen
International, Miss Silhouette,
Miss Photogenic and Miss
Congeniality.
 
In 2005 the National Finals
were held in Darwin, where
Lauryn handed her Australian
Crown over to Gold Coast's
Kyra Roberton. Kyra
represented Australia in
Trinidad and Tobago in 2006
against 21 other countries and
won Miss Teen World
Runner-up, Miss Congeniality,
Best Swimsuit and Best
Physique.



In 2006, Surfers Paradise on
the Gold Coast hosted the
Miss Teen Australia
National Finals for the first
time where Kyra handed her
Australian Crown to the 2006
Miss Teen Australia
winner, Ashleigh
Seymour. Ashleigh placed
3rd runner-up (4th
place) and won the Best
Evening category at the
Miss Teen World
Supermodel pageant, held in
Australia also for the first
time.
  
In 2007, Surfers Paradise on
the Gold Coast hosted the Miss
Teen Australia National Finals
for the second time where
Ashleigh handed her Australian
Crown to the 2007 Miss Teen
Australia winner, Tersha Rich.
Tersha will be the
representative for Australia in
2008
Also at the 2007 National
Finals, several other awards
were also allocated, the
Peoples Choice winner was won
by 2nd Runner-up Shae Ryan,
Miss Congeniality was won by
Ayten Ahmet, Miss Photogenic
was won by Runner-up Rachael
Finch and Miss Ambassador was
won by Natasha Van Der Peet
