The 2008 Miss Teen World Australia contest will
be judging in the traditional style and will cover the following areas:
1) Personal Interviews – (Introduction)
Delegates will be interviewed by each of the high profile Guest Judge’s.
This will be the first chance for the Judges to meet and greet the
Delegates (dressed in their choice of casual clothing) in a CLOSED
(to the public) environment.
2) National Costume
National Costumes will be judged on the Design and Craftsmanship of
the Garment as well as the selected music for 30 seconds that surrounds
the Theme and 30 seconds to explain what they are wearing and what
their Costume represents. Judging will be in a front of selected guests.
3) Swimwear
The Swimwear category will be judged outdoors in natural surrounds
and marks scored will be based on the Presentation, Cut and Style
of the fabric. The entrants will be escorted one by one to a designated
area, where they will introduce themselves in front of a panel of
judges before leaving. STRICTLY NO THONGS (G-STRINGS) ALLOWED
4) Stage Presentation
This Category is apart of the Choreographed show of the Crowning Ceremony.
Scheduled for about 2.5hrs, the Delegates will have the chance to
demonstrate their ability to present themselves on stage in three
(3) different outfits – Casual, Swimwear and Formal Wear.
5) Formal Wear
The Delegates will then demonstrate their poise and grace whilst in
Formal Wear. Marks will be awarded on the Delegates ability to present
their Formal Wear with poise and grace.
6) Random Question
The Random Question will only apply to the top 12
Delegates that have been selected by the Judges from the above Category’s.
We are not looking for a rehearsed answer, Delegates need to demonstrating
their ability to answer a Random Question that they have selected
in front of a live audience and is considered one of the hardest sections
for the Delegates to complete.
AWARDS will be awarded in the following
Category’s: Winner Runner-up Second Runner-up Miss Congeniality Miss National
Costume Miss Photogenic Miss Peoples Choice
