The National Finals of Miss Teen Australia were
held in Darwin, Northern Territory in September 2004,
wherein Lauryn Eagle from Sydney, was crowned Miss
Teen Australia. Lauryn represented Australia in the Teenage International
Beauty Pageant held in Costa Rica in November 2004 against 20 other
country representatives and WON the prestigious crown.
Not only was it Australia’s first teenage
entrant in the International Pageant, but to date the only entrant
to clean sweep all the major awards. Winning the prestige title of
Miss Teen International, Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic
and Miss Silhouette (Best Physique).
At the 2005 National Finals, Lauryn
handed her Australian Crown over to Gold Coast’s Kyra
Roberton. Kyra then represented Australia in Trinidad and
Tobago on April 23 2006 against 18 other countries where she WON -
Miss Teen World Runner-up. Kyra was also successful
in winning Miss Congeniality, 1st
in the Swimsuit section and 1st
in The Best Physique section.
On November 22 – 26 2006, the Miss Teen Australia
National Finals was held in Queensland on the Gold Coast. With the
Crowning Ceremony taking place on Saturday 25 at
the Royal Pines Resort. At this prestigious black tie event, Kyra
Roberton crowned Ashleigh Seymour from Sydney as
the new Miss Teen Australia
Ashleigh Seymour will be Australia’s Host
Representative at the 2007 Miss Teen World Australia.
